Booking & Scheduling

How quickly can a technician get to my home?

Calls that come in before early afternoon usually land a same-day window. Later requests are booked for next morning. Active water leaks and refrigerators full of food are moved to the front of the line whenever possible.

Will I get an exact appointment time?

You'll get an arrival window when you book, and the technician will call or text when they're on the way so you aren't stuck waiting all day.

Does someone need to be home during the visit?

Yes. An adult aged 18 or older needs to be there to let the technician in and approve the quote. It doesn't have to be the homeowner, a family member, tenant, or neighbor you've authorized is fine.

Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?

Of course. Call us as early as you can and we'll move you to another open slot. Early notice lets us offer your original time to someone else who's waiting.

Can I book without calling?

Yes. Use the repair request form on our Contact page with your appliance, ZIP code, and a short description. A scheduler will call you back to lock in a time.

Pricing & Payment

What does the diagnostic fee pay for?

It covers the trip to your home and the time spent testing the appliance to find the actual failed part. If you approve the repair, the fee is applied to the final bill rather than charged on top of it.

Can the price go up after I approve the quote?

No. The quote you approve is the amount you pay for that repair. If the technician uncovers a separate problem mid-job, they stop, explain it, and ask before doing anything extra.

How do I pay?

Payment is collected once the repair is finished and tested. We accept major credit and debit cards; if you need another option, mention it when you book so we can confirm ahead of time.

How do I know if a repair is worth the money?

A common rule of thumb: if the repair costs around half the price of a comparable new appliance and the unit is near the end of its expected life, replacing it often makes more sense. Your technician will give you an honest opinion on your specific machine.

The Repair Visit

How should I prepare for the technician?

Clear a path to the appliance and some space around it, empty a washer that's full of water if you can do so safely, and note any error codes. If you know the model number, have it handy.

How long does a typical repair take?

Many single-part repairs are finished within an hour or two once the fault is found. Jobs that involve sealed refrigeration systems, built-in units, or several failed parts can take longer.

What happens if the part isn't on the truck?

The technician orders it right away and books your return visit before leaving. The price you approved doesn't change because we needed a second trip.

Will my floors and kitchen be protected?

Yes. Our technicians put down protective mats before moving any appliance, carry out old parts, and clean up the work area before they go.

Appliances & Brands

Do you repair built-in and panel-ready appliances?

Yes, including many built-in refrigerators and wall ovens. Mention that it's built in when you book so we can plan for the extra time these models sometimes need.

Do you work on gas ranges and gas dryers?

Yes, our technicians service both gas and electric models. If you ever smell gas, leave the home and contact your gas utility or 911 before calling us.

Do you handle commercial or restaurant equipment?

Our focus is residential appliances in homes, condos, and apartments. For light-commercial units like those in small offices, call and describe the equipment and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.

Will your repair affect my manufacturer's warranty?

If your appliance is still under the manufacturer's warranty, check with the manufacturer first, since some require their own authorized service. Once that coverage has ended, or if you'd simply rather not wait, we're glad to help.

Warranty & After Service

How do I use my warranty if the problem returns?

Call or email with your name and service address. We'll pull up your repair record and book a return visit. A covered callback never carries a new diagnostic or trip charge.

What isn't covered by the repair warranty?

The warranty covers the parts we installed and the work we did. It doesn't extend to unrelated new failures, damage from misuse or power surges, or parts supplied by someone else.

Will I get paperwork for the repair?

Yes. You'll receive an invoice listing the parts replaced, the labor performed, and your warranty terms. Keep it handy in case you need to reach us about the same issue later.

Care & Maintenance

How often should I clean my dryer vent?

Clean the lint screen after every load and have the full vent line cleaned at least once a year, more often in busy households or if the vent run is long. A clogged vent makes the dryer work harder and is a common fire risk.

What keeps a refrigerator running efficiently?

Vacuum the condenser coils once or twice a year, keep the door gaskets clean, and don't block the vents inside. Set the fresh-food section around 37–40°F and the freezer at 0°F.

Why does my front-load washer smell musty?

Moisture trapped in the door seal and detergent drawer feeds mildew. Leave the door and drawer open between loads, wipe the gasket dry, use HE detergent sparingly, and run a cleaning cycle about once a month.

Is the oven's self-clean cycle safe to use?

It's designed to be used, but the very high heat can stress thermal fuses and control boards, especially on older ovens. Wiping spills early reduces how often you need it, and it's wise not to run it right before a holiday meal.
